Connect DealScore to Claude Code
Claude Code registers a remote MCP server with claude mcp add. DealScore's transport is HTTP at https://cardealscore.com/api/mcp. The first score_deal call needs the OAuth sign-in.
Register the server
- In a terminal, run the command below. The transport flag is http.
- Open Claude Code in that project.
- Run
/mcp, selectdealscore, and choose Authenticate. - Complete the DealScore email sign-in in the browser and approve access.
- Ask Claude Code to call
score_dealwith a year, make, model, asking price, and mileage.
terminal
claude mcp add --transport http dealscore https://cardealscore.com/api/mcp
Then run /mcp, pick dealscore, and choose Authenticate. Full setup: /integrations/claude-code.
Keys stay on REST
This command uses OAuth. API keys are for curl and for MCP clients that send headers. Create one on /keys, or follow the request example on /used-car-price-api.
If Authenticate does not finish
- The command includes
--transport httpandhttps://cardealscore.com/api/mcp. /mcphas to show dealscore before Authenticate is available. Re-run the add command in the project you opened.coverage: cannot_scoremeans the connection worked and the comps were too thin to grade.
What the agent can call
score_deal grades a deal. Send asking_price and mileage, plus a VIN or year, make, and model. trim and zip are optional. explain_grade maps a delta_pct to a grade without fetching comps. health reports coverage and limits. Free includes 5 scored calls a month and Builder is $19/mo (founding price) for 1,000 scored calls a month. Only coverage: scored counts, and explain_grade and health are never metered. Plans: /pricing. Argument details: /docs/api. Test arguments in the browser first: /try.
Other clients
